The "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" was put into action on April 1, 2005. Because Tamagawa handles the personal information of enrolled students as well as that of guardians, alumni, and faculty members, it created the "Privacy Policy of Tamagawa," set forth a Tamagawa corporate policy based on laws and ordinances as well as codes and regulations, and uses personal information appropriately. |

As an education institution, Tamagawa handles a large volume of personal information from children, pupils, students, and their guardians to school staff such as faculty members.
Personal information is extremely sensitive. In order to prevent the misuse and leakage of personal information and make sure that it is used appropriately, further awareness of the teaching faculty towards personal information protection is necessary.
Tamagawa pledges to comply with the following and continues to take measures to protect personal information.

Establishment of and continuous upgrading of a personal information protection management system
Teachers shall be aware of the importance of personal information protection, appropriately use the personal information of children, pupils, students, guardians, teachers, and alumni, create a "Personal Information Protection Management System Document" for protection of information, and steadily implement such across the entire organization. |

| 2. |
Appropriate acquisition, usage, and provision of personal information
Considering that organizations from pre-school through university and graduate school as well as individual research facilities exist, along with the establishing of a management system for the protection of personal information being handled within each organization, prescribed regulations shall be followed for personal information acquisition, usage, and provision and appropriately handle information within the usage purpose indicated at the time of acquisition. |

Implementation of safety measures for the protection of personal information
In order to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information, we shall implement safety measures including information security measures and strive towards the prevention and correction of leakage, deletion, or loss of personal information. |

Appropriate and quick response to questions and comments about the handling of personal information
Within reasonable limits, we shall respond appropriately and quickly to the various types of communication regarding personal information which Tamagawa stores (requests for disclosure, corrections, deletion, and complaints or questions).

Compliance to laws and regulations
Regarding the handling of personal information, we shall comply with all laws and ordinances which apply to the protection of such personal information as well as other regulations. Also, the "Personal Information Protection Management System Document" shall be made to conform to future laws, regulations and other regulations.

| Teachers shall be knowledgeable of the personal information protection policy, inform children, pupils, and students regarding such, and work towards the elevation of the awareness of personal information protection within Tamagawa. |

Definition of personal information |
| |
Personal information at Tamagawa is defined as personal information including name, birth date, and other similar data, and information which can identify such individuals via student code, teacher code, test code, or other codes.

Children, pupils, students, test takers, guardians, sponsors, alumni, and former students
<Visitors>
Individuals wishing to enroll, medical patients, customers (consumers), and individuals requesting materials
<Teachers or the equivalent>
Teaching faculty (including full time staff members, part time staff members, part time workers, and dispatched teachers)
<Individuals who assist education activities and individuals who assist corporate enterprise>
Assisting company managers, supply company managers, outside order company managers, and managers at related corporations, etc. |

Usage purposes for personal information |

Regarding the acquisition of personal information, the usage purposes are designated from within the range of duties below, and the information shall be acquired in compliance with law.

Usage of personal information and provision to third parties |

The usage and provision of personal information is conducted within the range of the usage purposes. In the case wherein usage or provision which exceeds this range is necessary due to operation issues, ascent will be gained in advance from the individual in question. When immediate provision of personal information is required by law or for the protection of life and/or property, it may be provided without the ascent of the individual in question. |

Disclosure of one's own personal information and procedures (including identification card issuance) |

As a rule, when a request for information disclosure is received from the individual in question, disclosure will only be permitted if the managing department (the chief of the managing department) deems that the reason for disclosure is just. An issuance fee is collected for disclosure via documentation certifying graduation, enrollment, grades, etc. Also, for disclosure requests from individuals 18 years of age or younger (or the third year of high school or younger), requests from guardians may be necessary depending on the content of the request. As a rule, communication or disclosure requests via telephone or fax are not an option. Regarding disclosure procedures, departments handling the personal information in question serve as consulting departments. |

Safety management of personal information |

In order to ensure the accuracy and safety of personal information, we shall implement safety measures including information security measures and strive towards the prevention and correction of leakage, deletion, or loss of personal information. |

About outsourcing the handling of personal information |
| |
Within the range of the usage purposes, there may be cases wherein outside companies which handle personal information are hired. In such cases, outsourced companies that are deemed to handle personal information appropriately shall be selected, and in addition to entering into confidentiality agreements, etc., appropriate management shall be conducted. |

Personal information manager |
| |
A personal information manager shall be designated, and this individual will be given responsibility and authority regarding the execution and operation of the protection of personal information. |

System pertaining to the protection of personal information |
| |
In order to protect personal information which we possess, constant consideration and execution of policy, regulations, plans, execution, auditing, and revision shall occur in the Personal Information Management Committee and Personal Information Protection Committee. |
