Diploma Programme subjects offered at Tamagawa Academy
- The Diploma is split up into 6 subject groups.
- Students must choose one subject from groups 1-5. They can either also choose a group 6 subject or an extra subject from groups 1 to 4.
- Students can choose two group 1 subjects instead of a group 2 subject.
- Students must choose 3 Standard Level (SL) courses and 3 Higher Level courses (HL).
- All students must do the DP Core elements: the EE, TOK and CAS.

Studies in Language and Literature
- English A: Language and Literature SL/HL
- Japanese A: Literature SL/HL
- Mandarin A: SL/HL
- Students must be academically competent in the language of the subject they choose
- Students can choose either 1 or 2 of these subjects
Group 2
Language Acquisition
- English B SL/HL
- Japanese B SL/HL
- Mandarin B SL/HL
- This course is designed for students with 2-5 years’ experience of studying the language
