玉川学園の畑ですくすくと育った巨大カボチャを使い、「ジャック・オ・ランタン」を作りました。
収穫、デザイン製作、飾りつけを担当したのは、管財委員会と自由研究”Hand craft”の児童・生徒達です。
「このカボチャ、何キロだろう？」「カボチャはどの角度で使おうか。」「傷があるけどどうする？」「どんな表情にする？」「意外と柔らかいんだね。」「この種、何かに使えないかな？」「どこで展示しようか？」と、いろいろなアイデアや意見を出し合って進めた楽しい共同制作の時間でした。
Giant pumpkins grown in the fields of Tamagawa Academy were used to make "jack-o-lanterns".
The students who were in charge of harvesting, designing, and decorating the pumpkins were the students of the Finance Committee and the Jiyu-Kenkyu "Hand Craft" members.
The students asked questions such as, "How many kilos does this pumpkin weigh?" "What angle should I use the pumpkin?" "What should I do with the scratches?" "What do you want it to look like?" "It's softer than I thought it would be." "What can we do with these seeds?" "Where shall we exhibit it?"
It was an enjoyable time of collaborative work, with many ideas and opinions being exchanged.
