Accreditation
A considerable amount of planning and preparation for each grade level and each subject area takes place to ensure an appropriately dynamic national and international curriculum for students. The curriculum will follow the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports Science and Technology regulations and will reach a world standard set by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
The language of instruction for Language A/B (Japanese), Arts, Technology, Physical Education is Japanese. The language of instruction for Language A/B (English), Humanities, Sciences, Mathematics is English. Those students who successfully complete Grade 9 will receive the Middle School graduation certificate. In addition, those students who complete the MYP successfully will be eligible to begin the Diploma Programme (DP). Upon completion of the DP in grade 12, students will also receive the High School graduation certificate. Upon passing the Diploma Programme exams successfully, students will receive the IB Diploma.
It is important to exchange the most up-to-date information on education internationally on a regular basis. Tamagawa Academy has exchange programs with 60 schools in 20 countries and is a member of the Round Square organization, a consortium of elite schools throughout the world who share a commitment to global education and community service. Tamagawa Academy is the only Japanese school that is a member of this organization.
