Biosystems & Biofunctions Research Center
The Biosystems & Biofunctions Research Center aims to solve the global challenges of this century -environmental conservation, increased food production and stable energy supplies- by creating technologies and techniques that exploit to the fullest the latent potentials of living organisms. To this end, we are currently addressing the following issues;
- Development of a novel agricultural production system using optical semiconductor devices
- Study on photomorphogenesis in plants
- Development of a plant cultivation system in space
- Development of herbicides using natural products and microorganisms
